New story posted

Yup, the first two chapters of Judging of the Heart are posted. The extended author's notes complete with links (for anyone who might want to research a bit into Ancient Egyptian mythology) are one post back. *points down*

*yawn* I'm off to dreamland.

OK ... so ...?? Did you get any reviews yet? *crosses fingers and hopes really hard*

By the way, I forgot to tell you, but I got an email from the place where I sent the contest story. Nothing major, just telling me they got it. So, at least I know they received it and it complied with the rules. ^.^

Not a one. Yanking the story as we speak.

*hugs* Thank you so much for all your help though! Like I said in the (new) post, it was bound to happen that I wrote a turkey.

*cries*

I didn't want you to have to pull it! I really, really love this story. Although I know you're still going to post it in LJ, I'm sad that you felt you had to pull it down. *cries some more*

I honestly do not think it's a turkey. Not at all. It is beautifully written, very emotional, and moving. I think, if anything, it might be a bit too mature (as in they have to think about what's going on) for most of the YGO readers on ff.net. I think, as we've discussed, a lot of readers go to ff.net to find shounen-ai/yaoi ficcage. It's pretty unfortunate, but I think ff.net has garnered a reputation for that kind of thing.

Sometimes, I kind of want to start a board like ff.net ... to post some good fics on it. But, it might be too much work. And, something that's beyond my capacity to set up and run. *sigh*

Anyhow, I'm so sorry you had to pull it. I still love it and think it's a wonderful, wonderful story! *super hugs*

Well, I privated the post and just don't feel like thinking it through right now (too bummed) so I'll sleep on it.

*sigh -- too tired to think about it right now*

Oh! I really should respond to the second half of your post!

*throws confetti* Yaaaay! I know that it is a triumph for you to have sent it, I'm glad it made the first hurdle, too.

*crosses fingers that your story will go the distance and WIN!*

Heh, heh. Well, like I said, it's already a victory just because I mailed the darn thing off. And, the version I believed in, too. ^.^

As for "winning" ... sure, cross your fingers for luck. Just don't hold your breath -- or you might turn blue! (LOL)
